AndBeyond Mnemba Island, Zanzibar

Steeped in culture and history, Zanzibar enticed adventurers, seafarers, and traders from far and wide. Known as the spice island, from the centuries old trade of cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon, today the Zanzibar Archipelago is still bathed in the heady scents of spices and traditional dhows still drift across the horizon. A romantic hideaway, Mnemba Island is an exclusive island paradise featuring 12 rustically chic beachside Bandas, including one Family Banda, for just 26 guests, connected to the breathtaking Mnemba Atoll.

During this renovation period, the interior of the lodge’s Guest Area will undergo a complete transformation, including some structural changes to the existing buildings. Inspired by its beach location and offering uninterrupted ocean access, the island’s 11 private Bandas, redesigned to resemble a nautilus seashell, will slightly increase in size, while the Family Banda will now include an adjoining room ideal for young families. Other lodge developments include renovating the island’s dive centres, where one will feature an Oceans Without Borders (OWB) interpretative centre allowing you to engage with conservation and community-focused projects in and around the Mnemba Atoll. A brand-new Wellness Banda, equipped with two spa treatment rooms and a yoga deck, completes the new-look Mnemba Island offering.
